چکیده
For a two-dimensional electron gas with Coulomb interaction, we have applied the Kadanoff-Baym-Keldysh approach to calculate numerically equilibrium Green’s functions at finite temperatures. The method used is based on iterative numerical computation of the retarded self-energy in the self-consistent random-phase approximation approximation. We have computed electron distribution, quasiparticle spectra, and renormalized ~dynamically screened! potential. Our solutions may serve as a self-consistent initial state for quantum kinetics problems in quantum wells.

Self-consistent random-phase approximation for a two-dimensional electron gas: Kadanoff-Baym-Keldysh approach
We have developed a method of finding equilibrium Green’s functions for an electron gas with Coulomb interaction within the Kadanoff-Baym-Keldysh approach. This method is based on iterative numerical computation of the retarded self-energy in the self-consistent random-phase approximation. For a two-dimensional electron gas, we have calculated numerically various one-electron properties and the...
متن کاملThe Effect of Exchange-Correlation Holes on the Temperature Dependent Dynamic Dielectric Function of Single-Layer Quantum Wells and Coupled Nanolayers
In this paper, for the first time we have studied theoretically the effect of exchange-correlation holes around electrons in GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs nanostructure on the temperature-dependent dynamic dielectric function of two-dimensional electron gas by employing random phase, STLS and Hubbard approximations. Also, we have investigated another interesting system which is coupled quantum wells struc...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of the Hydrodynamics of a Two-Dimensional Gas—Solid Fluidized Bed by New Finite Volume Based Finite Element Method
n this work, computational fluid dynamics of the flow behavior in a cold flow of fluidized bed is studied. An improved finite volume based finite element method has been introduced to solve the two-phase gas/solid flow hydrodynamic equations. This method uses a collocated grid, where all variables are located at the nodal points. The fluid dynamic model for gas/solid two-phase flow is based on ...
متن کاملLocal Field Correction Effect on Dicluster Stopping Power in a Strongly Coupled Two-Dimensional Electron Gas System
We calculate the stopping power for heavy-ion diclusters moving in a strongly coupled two-dimensional electron gas system by using the local field corrected dielectric function at finite temperature. We obtain a parameterized local field correction factor based on a relation between the thermal compressibility and exchange-correlation energy in two-dimension. The interpolated parameter is deriv...
متن کاملFinite width and local field corrections to spin coulomb drag in a quasi-two-dimensional electron gas.
We study the spin Coulomb drag in a quasi-two-dimensional electron gas of finite transverse width, including local field corrections beyond the random phase approximation (RPA). We find that the finite transverse width of the electron gas causes a significant reduction of the spin Coulomb drag. This reduction, however, is largely compensated by the enhancement coming from the inclusion of many-...
